CAPRI

EAT + DRINK

beach club: FONTELINA

A trip to Capri isn’t complete without a visit to Fontelina Restaurant and Beach Club. Walking down an unforgettable windy pathway, you can see the beach club's navy and white umbrellas dotting the rocks below and the famous Il Faraglioni islands in the distance.

long lunch: IL RICCIO

The Capri Palace Hotel’s Il Riccio Beach Club and Restaurant is a another must. The food and the views are divine, and the blue "dessert room" is a sweet tooth and photographer’s heaven. Tip: get the torta caprese.

under the lemon trees: DA PAOLINO

Da Paolino is one of the island’s most iconic restaurants for a reason: you dine underneath Capri’s signature lemon trees, and it’s pretty special. There's an open-air kitchen that dishes up every kind of homemade pasta you could possibly want, as well as delicious freshly-caught seafood.

romantic: VILLA VERDE

Villa Verde is a lively restaurant in the heart of Capri town, famous for its large terrace and garden. Consistently a favorite dinner spot in Capri, the place feels carefree and distinctly European, low-key and fun. Tip: get the salt crusted branzino.

see + be seen: AURORA

Aurora is the oldest restaurant on the island, now in its third generation. It has a sleek minimalist interior, but for great people watching, book a table outside :) Those in the know start by sharing a pizza all'Acqua: thin-crust, with mozzarella and a sprinkling of peperoncino. Often open until 2 am, the swanky Aurora Bar across the way serves aperitivi and light meals.

pizza + seafood: PANORAMA

For a casual meal just outside town, look no further than Panorama. Just five minutes walking from the Capri center, the restaurant sits away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They serve it all - homemade pasta, local fish, selected meat, seasonal vegetables from the garden and traditional neapolitan pizza baked in a wood-fired oven.

LEMON GRANITA

Right before you hit the main square in Capri there is a cute little lemon granita kiosk. You’ll spot the large Amalfi lemons hanging up all around the booth. The granita is absolutely delicious - do not miss it!

COCKTAILS: QUISI BAR

Facing Via Camerelle, Capri's catwalk, this is the place for a pre or post dinner cocktail.

night out: ANEMA E CORE

A small, hidden door nestled between luxury boutiques and hotels leads the way to one of Capri's most popular nightclubs. Taverna Anema e Core is always a great time, a go-to if you don’t want your night to end after a late dinner!

SEE + DO

beach club: FONTELINA

See above!

on the water: PRIVATE BOAT TOUR

Rent a boat for a half-day with a private driver. He or she will take you to swim by all of the most beautiful caves and grottos. When you tire of the site seeing, anchor in the bay for an afternoon cocktail.

island tour: CAPRI BY SCOOTER

For a more fun alternative to taxis/shuttles, a scooter rental is the way to go! Yes, it can be touristy, but you’ll have the freedom to explore the full island at your own pace.

lively & local: LIDO DEL FARO

One of the few beach clubs where you’ll find locals, Il Faro is located in Anacapri next to the lighthouse (from which it gets it’s name). They do not accept reservations, so go early to get a lounge chair (opens at 9am). Also worth noting - Il Faro is one of the island’s best spots to watch the sunset. There are 2 bars above the lido where you can have an aperitivo and watch the sun set!

shopping: VIA CAMERELLE

Yes, this shopping street is dotted with all the same luxury brands you could find back in Milan or Rome. But there’s something magical about shopping here - and there’s no better excuse to justify a purchase than framing it as a memento of your trip! Be sure not to miss Grazia + Marica Vozza (jewelry), 100% Capri (linens), Farella (luxury knitwear), and L’Arte del Sandalo (sandals).

walks & hikes: ISLAND TRAILS

Ignore the prices, and use the linked guide for inspiration! Have the hotel arrange transportation (if needed) to to the start & end point Capri is also renowned for stunning nature walks. A favorite is the hike to Villa Jovis, a stunning villa built as a residence by the Roman Emperor Tiberius—the views across the Tyrrhenian blue waters will take your breath away.

museum: VILLA SAN MICHELE

One of the most fascinating places to visit in Anacapri is Villa San Michele. It’s a treasure trove of art and antiquities, set among stunning gardens with sea views. Villa San Michele was built in the late 19th century for the brilliant doctor and philanthropist Axel Munthe, who later penned a book about his life in the villa. The Story of San Michele is a must read if you love Capri.

amalfi day trip: CONCA DEL SOGNO

Another favourite lunch spot is a short boat trip from Capri called Conca del Sogno. The setting here is out of this world. Don’t rush a day here. Arrive early for drinks on the rocks, enjoy a long, fun lunch and then have a siesta and swim at the adjacent beach club.

ruins: VILLA JOVIS

Villa Jovis was the largest and most sumptuous of 12 Roman villas commissioned by Roman Emperor Tiberius (AD14–37) on Capri, and his main island residence. It's located a 45-minute walk east of Capri Town along Via Tiberio.
