When living in Austin, one of the first places we started frequenting was Hotel San Jose.  The casual vibes, refreshing drinks, and location right on South Congress next to our favorite coffee shop (Jo's) made it the perfect place to meet friends, any time of day.  The hotel features clean and minimal spaces with splashes of color - something we quickly realized wasn't unique to San Jose, but to all bunkhouse hotels.

23 years ago, Liz Lambert first purchased the (once) seedy motel on South Congress , and transformed it into Hotel San José. With its success, Lambert launched Bunkhouse Group, which builds (hospitality) businesses that focus on design, music, and community-driven experiences.
